Rita Berry is a Kansas City, Missouri native. She is the only child of the late Rev. Amos Adams and Anna Mae Adams. She is a graduate of Southwest High School. She attended Northwest University in Maryville, Mo and is finishing her bachelor in Business Administration with a minor in Hospitality Management at the University of Phoenix.
Rita is married to Duane E Harvey and is the mother of four daughters and one son. She is the grandmother to nine grandchildren:
Rita has the heart of a servant. She serves on the Reclaiming Our Community Board. She had the honor to serve as the Hospitality Chair for The National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Kansas City 2010 and 2016. She is a member of the AEL Advisory Board, Sarita’Lynne Group Home’s and sharing the Harvest Ministries. She is an active member of Memorial Church International, under the leadership of Apostle Larry B. and Pastor Olivia C.Q. Aiken.
Rita served as the Senior Marketing and Sales Executive, of G&B Enterprises. She managed funding of commercial and residential loans on the local and national level. Her biggest achievement was the closing of multi-million dollar deals for profit and non-profit organizations. She organized and implemented commercial lending departments for other brokers.
Rita served as the General Manager, KGGN890AM. Over 60% of her job was generating new sales leads, maintaining relationships with current customers, and heavily promoting the awareness of the station to the community. She overcame the challenge of rebranding, and restructuring the format of the radio broadcasts. As a result, KGGN became the forerunner of Kansas City Gospel.
Rita is the owner of Right The First Time Marketing Group (RTFT). She has developed talented business owner and leaders unleash their untapped abilities. RTFT has successfully implemented marketing plans, sales presentations, networking and speaking engagements.
Rita was vital in the successful launch of Cricket Communcations.in the greater Kansas City area in 2006. She was responsible for overseeing 6 retail representatives and an assistant retail business manager.
